Fernbank Science Center It's deja vu all over again! The Outdoor Learning Symposium will be held at Fernbank Science Center for the second year in a row, before rotating to another part of the state. But the program is all new, and the professional learning opportunities exciting whether you are a pK-12 teacher, non-formal educator, college professor or environmental restoration specialist. Join us for the south's premier exposition of outdoor learning models, instructional methods, schoolyard designs, and success stories.

Keynote Speaker: Jerry HightowerEEA is honored to welcome Ranger Jerry Hightower as keynote speaker at the Outdoor Learning Symposium. Jerry's 50 years as an environmental educator with National Park Service and his insatiable curiosity make him the world's most interesting man. His speech is sure to be a highlight of this exciting Symposium.

Many Georgia educators are available to attend OLS on Nov 3 (Election Day) because it is a popular professional learning day for school districts. Here's how to attend OLS and still vote.

Location and Parking
- OLS will be held at Fernbank Science Center: 156 Heaton Park Drive in Atlanta, GA 30307 (NOT Fernbank Museum). Map link: https://maps.app.goo.gl/Eqmm5LQdVAEywgm69
- Parking is available on-site and across the street at Fernbank Elementary. Please park in designated spaces, and not on any roadway or in residential areas. Designated parking spaces (in yellow on map) are located along Heaton Park Drive, in front of the Science Center, and at the Fernbank Elementary School. Parking is free, however if vehicles are not in designated parking spaces, illegally parked, blocking driveways, mailboxes, or fire hydrants, they may be ticketed and/or towed.
