Participants

• ...are expected to attend an online Orientation meeting scheduled with the ATEEG Program Administrator when starting their first ATEEG core course.
• ...are required to attend and participate fully in all three core courses to earn full credit towards the EE Certification requirements with ATEEG.
• ...must complete all online module work AND any in-person workshop assignments by their specified deadlines (scoring 80% or higher) to earn full credit in each core course.
• ...are required to read and agree to the ATEEG Non-discrimination Statement, the EEA Code of Ethics and Standard Practices for Professional Environmental Educators, and the EEA Confidentiality Agreement by signing the following policy agreement when involved in the ATEEG program.
• ...are responsible for submitting all documentation required to receive credit in fulfillment of the specialization hours requirement for EE Certification with ATEEG.
• ...must keep their EEA membership active.
  
• ...are encouraged to join the North American Association for Environmental Education.
• ...must complete all EE Certification requirements to be eligible to graduate with ATEEG.
  
• ...who complete the program may be asked to volunteer as a mentor for new candidates down the road.

Costs​

The total EE Certification fee is divided into the core course registration fees.

The registration fee for each of the required core courses for 2025 is:

• $180 for EEA members;
• $210 for non-members, which includes a 1-yr membership to EEA.  

The registration fee for each course covers the implementation of the online and in-person workshop components of the course and one (1) meal + snacks during the in-person workshop session.   Details are provided about the course  once a participant is registered. 

​​Participants also have the option to pay for all three (3) core courses at the 2024 ATEEG Core Course Package rate without committing to a course date yet.  This option protects the EE Certification candidate from any course fee increases in the future.  

When registering for a course, participants are expected to pay in full at the time of registration, unless the ATEEG Program Administrator has permitted a different payment schedule/plan.  Forms of payment include:

• Credit card (Visa, Master Card, or Discover) payment submitted online when registering
• Offline payment in the form of a check, payable to EEA.  There is a $25 fee for returned checks.   Mailing directions are given in the registration form.

Please note that a $25 administrative fee is charged for refunds, if requested.

Cancellations are handled on a case-by-case basis with the ATEEG Program Administrator.   Typically, the participant's registration fee is applied to a future course.
