This beautiful yet affordable venue is situated in a wooded area on the beach and offers a conference center,  lodging, and a restaurant. Conference Strands

• CONNECTING PEOPLE WITH NATURE by providing accessible outdoor education experiences that connect people of all ages and backgrounds with nature
• CONSERVING & RESTORING THE ENVIRONMENT through community science, environmental stewardship, and civic action projects
• EMPOWERING STUDENTS TO BE ENVIRONMENTAL PROBLEM SOLVERS by fostering learning through exploration; engaging students in outdoor investigations; and providing opportunities to design and test solutions to  real-world problems
• MEASURING IMPACTS of environmental and outdoor learning through program evaluation, common metrics, assessment of student or environmental outcomes, etc.
• STRENGTHENING THE FIELD through collaboration, joint initiatives, collective campaigns, shared advocacy, common values or practices, and cooperative ventures 

Submit a Conference  Presentation Proposal

​Selection Criteria
Successful Conference presentation proposals incorporate: 

• sustainable methods and materials
• strategies for engaging all learners, with attention to their experiences, cultures, locations, ages, and needs
• the three-dimensional learning approach that is inherent to the Georgia Standards of Excellence in Science
• based on research about effective environmental and outdoor education
• outdoor learning component for students and for conference attendees is preferred
• high engagement and opportunities for questions or interaction, as much as practical

The EEA Conference serves two purposes: professional learning for educators and a fundraiser for EEA. The Silent Auction and Conference Sponsors are invaluable to our efforts to keep registration costs low and provide scholarships to those who could not otherwise attend. Please contribute to the auction or become a conference sponsor if you can! Exhibitors may request space by submitting the Conference Registration form.
