Mary Winder



Mary Tulula Winder (M.A. Jackson State University) is the Program Director at Autrey Mill Nature Preserve and Heritage Center in Johns Creek Georgia since June 2014. Her responsibilities include program planning, implementation and coordination for participants of all ages, volunteer management, care of live animal exhibits, and more. Mary teaches regularly scheduled Home School, Preschool, After- School, and Kid Hike programs. Groups who visit Autrey Mill Nature Preserve have tour options that include a Wetland Hike, Reptile Show, a Finding Fish Program, and more- all programs developed and taught by Mary. Mary is also Camp Autrey Mill Director, she trains and supervises the summer camp counselors and supervises the camp curriculum. She is a certified teacher for Special Needs K-12 and Art K-12. Her love of the outdoors was fostered in her home state of Mississippi where she spent most of the summers in a creek or river. Prior to moving to Georgia, Mary was a Conservation Educator for the MS Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks. She has taught Hunter's Education, Boater Education, Archery Instruction, and more. In her spare time Mary enjoys reading, kayaking, and crafting.
