Melanie Sparrow

Melanie Sparrow is from Athens, Georgia. She got her BA in Anthropology/Archaeology from UGA. After two summers in Belize studying Maya ruins, she decided to travel through Europe with the WWOOF program, working on organic farms of different types. It was this lifestyle that brought her to the seasonal job realm of working in camps and environmental education programs, including Rock Eagle 4-H Center. After several years of working seasonal EE jobs, she attended Georgia Southern University and got her master's degree in Environmental Anthropology. She now works for Georgia Southern University as a Development Coordinator. In her free time, she explores the coastal region's natural treasures!
