Stacy Smith is the Program Education Specialist at Keep Athens-Clarke County Beautiful. She is originally from Oregon and received her BS in Wildlife Science at Oregon State. She has also studied at the University of Wisconsin at Stevens Point and has her Masters of Science in Wildlife from Warnell at the University of Georgia (studying salamander microhabitat usage in the Georgia Piedmont She moved to Georgia in 1997 and started her career in Environmental Education by working at the Chattahoochee Nature Center and volunteering for the Piedmont Park Conservancy and then took a full-time job at the Newman Wetlands Center in Clayton County before going back to graduate school. She lives in Athens, Ga with her husband, two kids, her mom, two dogs, two guinea pigs, and a bearded dragon.
