Naturally Connected:  Creating and Teaching in an Outdoor Learning Center

December 3, 2011 - postponed until 2012.  Check back for the new date.

The outdoors can be a place of inquiry, discovery, curiosity, and creativity for students. Join us for this hands-on workshop that is designed to expand the environmental knowledge and skills needed by educators to bring their students and lessons outdoors. It will include techniques for creating, maintaining and using outdoor learning centers and strategies for integrating the environment into the  curriculum. It has everything you need to go from concept to completion, with successful results: creating a natural space where students can observe, think, question, and learn.

This workshop will be held at the Chattahoochee River Environmental Education Center located 2421 Barnwell Road in the City of Johns Creek.

EEA Members:  $20.00
New/Renewing Members:  $40.00 (includes 1 year EEA membership)

One PLU is available for educators that attended the Outdoor Learning Symposium on October 23, 2011.
